For the last eight months, players across the BFL community have been competing in The Battle. Every game, every win, every loss, and every rivalry has helped shape one thing: a story.

Now, those stories lead to The Claim.

The Claim isn't just another basketball event. It's one of the highest stages within BFL, where the stories built through competition become the main event.

Unlike an open tournament, not everyone can simply enter The Claim.

Players earn their place.

Every matchup must have a reason to exist. It could be a rivalry that has grown over months, a player chasing redemption, an undefeated competitor defending their position, or two athletes whose paths have finally crossed at the right time.

The Claim is where those stories are settled.

Another thing that makes The Claim different is Boost.

Every matchup can be supported by the community through Boost, allowing friends, teammates, coaches, family members, and fans to back the players they believe in. Every Boost helps improve the player experience while helping BFL continue building a stronger basketball culture.

The Battle remains the foundation.

It's the place where players introduce themselves, build reputations, develop rivalries, and prove they belong. Without The Battle, there is no The Claim.

As BFL continues to grow, The Claim won't be the only premium story-driven event. New experiences like The Truth and future BFL productions will continue building on the same philosophy—basketball first, stories that matter second.

The Matchups

Lwazi vs Lindsay

Three consecutive victories have earned Lwazi the reputation as the player to beat in the Light Division.

Known throughout the community as SASKO, he has turned every appearance into a statement, including a dominant 30-0 performance that cemented his position at the top.

Lindsay enters with a different motivation.

After consecutive losses to Costan and Liam, he believes Lwazi is the perfect opponent to restart his journey. He's openly called Lwazi an easy matchup, while Lwazi believes Lindsay will be one of his toughest tests yet.

The undefeated leader of the Light Division meets a challenger determined to change the narrative.

Liam vs Mahir

Liam's message after defeating Lindsay was simple:

"Line them up."

He's looking for every opportunity to prove he belongs among the best.

Across from him stands Mahir.

After suffering back-to-back defeats, he's searching for redemption. Every competitor understands the feeling of wanting another chance, and Mahir believes this is his opportunity.

For one player, confidence continues.

A.C. (Niggafly) vs Themba

A.C.'s rise has been impossible to ignore.

Victories over respected opponents, including Andy, have earned him recognition as one of the fastest-rising competitors in the community.

Then he made his intentions clear.

He wanted Themba.

Themba has already established himself as one of the most dangerous scorers in BFL. Finding opponents willing to challenge him hasn't been easy.

A.C. stepped forward.

Now he gets his opportunity.

Bev vs Jason

Their story didn't begin inside Battle 1v1.

It began with weeks of trash talk in the community group.

Bev believes Jason isn't on his level.

Jason believes it's time to prove Bev wrong.

Weeks of trash talk are over. Now it's game time.

Emmanuel vs Dylan

Dylan understands this format.

After losing his first Battle 1v1 matchup, he immediately asked for another opportunity.

He adapted.

He won.

Now regarded as one of the community's best shooters, Dylan enters with experience on his side.

Emmanuel enters differently.

Known for an unpredictable offensive game and a deadly mid-range jumper, this will be his first appearance in The Claim format.

He's stepping into Dylan's world.

Not every rivalry is settled one-on-one.

Some require teammates.

The history between Fwesh and Jono has been developing through countless games on the court. Their competition has naturally divided opinions throughout the community.

Now, both captains will lead their squads into a 3x3 battle.
