For Luthando, basketball has always represented freedom. The moment he held a basketball, he discovered a place where he could express himself, compete, and be part of something bigger than himself. Every game became another opportunity to learn, grow, and enjoy the sport he loves.

Like many young athletes, Luthando's basketball journey has been interrupted by injuries. Most recently, a rotator cuff strain forced him to spend more time recovering than competing. The setbacks have been frustrating and even made him question whether he should continue.

But every time doubt appeared, his love for basketball reminded him why he started. Rather than giving up, he chose to trust the process, recover properly, and return stronger than before.

As a left-handed point guard, Luthando prides himself on his basketball IQ and ability to make his teammates better. He believes leadership is measured by the decisions you make, not only by the points you score.

Today, he is focused on improving his shooting consistency, finishing confidently with both hands, and building the strength needed to stay healthy throughout the season.
